HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in March 2001. The original receipt for £175 is dated October 2001.
CONDITION
The kinetic range is quite clever. Rather than a battery this movement is powered by a capacitor, and that capacitor is then charged and recharged by an oscillating weight on the movement, much like an automatic watch has a similar weight keeping the watch wound up. These capacitors can last over a decade, and are not expensive or difficult to replace. We will install a brand new capacitor before sending the watch out to the new owner, which should be good for 10 years use. The button at 2 will use the second hand to show you how much charge is currently in the watch, and if it is down on power then just give the watch a swing (or wear it more often!). The glass is perfect and unmarked, really helping show that deep reflective blue dial. The bracelet has been cleaned in out ultrasonic bath, and has extra links included too.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
