This watch was either a prize or a giveaway with Readers Digest and has not been worn . Complete with inner box, cardboard sleeve and instructions.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We didn’t think it would be possible to date this watch, as the paperwork is blank. However, when we popped the back off to add a new battery the date stamp of January 2000 is clearly printed!
CONDITION
The watch is unworn. We are not making any claims that this is the height of horological design and quality, but it is a cheap watch and will be right for someone. The size means it can be worn easily by either sex, and the sterile dial (meaning it has no brand name) hides it humble beginnings. The plating is slightly pitted on the sides, which looks worse in the photos than in real life. New battery fitted and the strap is the leather band it was originally on.
