A very complete, original men’s Longines Presence dress watch that looks barely worn. Model reference L4.698.2
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being made sold on Christmas Eve, 2000. The jewellers didn’t fill out the model or serial number, possibly as it was the busiest time of year.
CONDITION
This Longines Presence watch is still fitted to the original signed leather strap, which is barely creased, so we do not think it has been worn often. The signed buckle is there too, again without signs of wear. The case has unusual but attractive coin edging between the lugs – a potential dirt trap – but again this didn’t require cleaning, so everything points to this sitting in the box for the past two decades. Only a tiny dint on the non crown side of the case to report back on, and some very small tool marks where a battery has been changed. The quartz movement is all functioning correctly, including the quick set date. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
This watch will be supplied with the original outer and inner presentation boxes, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
