An affordable men’s Seiko Chronograph, with an interesting design. Model reference V657-8020.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in May 1999.
CONDITION
This is the second V657-8020 we have had, and th emost striking thing about them is the off white or ivory coloured dial. It is at first as if a white dial had faded (like the infamous Rolex Explorer II), but with the lumed main hands and the orange chronogrpah hands it works. All functions are working correctly, and the v657 movement is unusual in that the centre hand is constant seconds, and the subdials are for the chronograph. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The case is all stainless steel, and the bezel with numbers in relief is fixed. The glass appears to be scratch free. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. This could be swapped for a leather strap if preferred.
