Garrard are the jewellers to Her Majesty the Queen, and they have high standards when they add their name to any item.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the long service inscription on the case back and the corresponding engraving on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being presented in 1999.
CONDITION
The watch has not been worn much. Not only is there no damage, but the original Garrard strap has very little wear marks. This can often be the case with long service watches with box and papers, they are saved in a drawer for best. Not too many firms were still giving gold watches by 1999, so we are pleased to have found such a nice one. Inside the gold case is an ETA 7 jewel quartz movement with two hands and calendar function, so no jumping second hand that some people don’t like in quartz watches. This family of movements you often find in brands such as Zenith, so we know it is in good company. The case is very slim, ideal to slip under shirt cuffs.
This watch will be supplied with the original box, paperwork and our Certificate of Authenticity.
