HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in June 1998. The paperwork for this watch, stamped for Selfridges in London, was completed in September 1998.
CONDITION
This watch doesn’t appear to have been worn much. The condition shows that the thick dark blue strap hardly has a mark on it, although this could always be a replacement item. The clasp is high quality, and the polished case only has light scratches. The dial is faultless, as are the blued hands. This is a distinctive and attractive watch, made more attractive by having the box and papers. The box should have a white watch cushion, but this one had a black watch cushion. A minor point. We have fitted a new battery, so the watch is ready to wear.
SIZE
23.3 mm wide including the unsigned crown, 5.8 mm thick. Takes an 15 mm strap. The current strap will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 185mm.
