The Geometrie by S.T. Dupont was their update of the popular Chinese Lacquer models. Model reference 64131.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied warranty card, which matches the model number of the watch, we can show that this watch was sold in 1998.
CONDITION
S.T. Dupont are best known for their lighter, which are widely respected and collected, but like many brands they expanded in the 1980’s and started selling watches. Most of their watches are rectangular, like their lighters, and some had matching watch/lighter combinations. What we like about this model, the Geometrie, is actually the bracelet. It is all solid link, with each link held in by two screws on the back, and the links are all similar to a wing profie on either a plane or a racing car (depending on the angle!) It is especially good, as it has a lot of links in it. The movement is a Swiss quartz with a date at 6 that can be quick set. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The crown isn’t signed but has four unusual notches, just like the few other Geometrie watches we have found, so we are happy it is the correct crown. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, crystal, clasp, buckle and strap.
This watch will be supplied with the original warranty card, our branded and reusable zipped travel case and cleaning cloth, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
