The AD2000 was initially only available directly from Dunhill’s Duke Street store, and at £1,400 it was not cheap.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the supplied paperwork from Selfridges in London we can accurately date this watch to being sold in October 1998.

CONDITION

Dunhill watches are normally very conservative and discrete.  But with the AD2000 they pushed the boundries, and the case design is unique.  The case shape is reminicent of a snakes head.  The bracelet is long enough for most wrists, and has a quite distinct look itself – the AD2000 was also available with a leather strap, but the bracelet is the one to have if you can find one.  The detail extends to the hands – not the shape, but the application of lume.  Condition wise the watch is excellent – the case back sticker is still in place – but there is just the lightest of scuff marks near 5.  Inside is an ETA 7 jewel quartz movement, to which we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
