This Fidelio dress watch is in very good order and has not been worn much at all. Model reference 9162.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being sold in 1997.
CONDITION
The Fidelio was an expensive watch in 1997 – We have a price list and catalogue from that year, featuring a 9162 model with a different dial, and that watch was priced at £925. For that money you got everything plated in 18k gold, including the case back, and a domed sapphire crystal. The dial on this watch is unusual in having an ink blue centre and a gold chapter ring. The extra dots of gold at the hour markers bring the design together nicely. Condition is fabulous – high wear spots that would give away poor condition such as the bracelet clasp or case back have only the lightest of marks. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, and we have extra links too. The movement is an ETA quartz, with quick set date operated via the crown (which is inset with a cabochon polished stone). We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
