This slim, bi metal De Ville bracelet watch from Omega comes with the box, instructions and warranty card. Model reference 396.1012.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in either 1993 or 1994. But the stamped warranty card shows a sales date of March 1994. The warranty card doesn’t show the watch serial number, but everything came together with the watch and we have no reason to doubt they have stayed together since new.
CONDITION
With any watch with gold plated bezel and bracelet links you have to carefully inspect the condition – the 20 micron gold plating on this watch passes with flying colours. Everything else is in good condition too, and this watch may have spent a significant part of it’s life in the box – maybe saved for best? The movement is an ETA quartz movement but this is branded Omega 1430, so is the original. It has quick set date and a seconds hand, which is unusual for such a slim watch – each complication adds depth. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. Bracelet length is important, as the bracelet is integrated by design and can not be swapped for a leather strap. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, and clasp.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity. The box is scruffy and has tape wrapped around it, which will not help the condition of the box.
