HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied warranty card, which matches the model number on the case back, we can accurately date this watch to being sold in September 1994.
CONDITION
While we haven’t come across Flauber before, you can still learn something just by handling the watch. The bracelet is solid links, rather than folded. The plating on the bezel and the bracelet is 18k gold rather than PVD coated. The dial has inverted pyramids and applied hour markers – each process like this takes both a decision to spend more by the manufacturer. Condition is very good too, with not much to report at all – the watch honestly looks like it has hardly ever been worn, if at all. Inside again the cheaper option wasn’t chosen by Flauber, and they chose an ETA quartz movement rather than something cheaper. Everything is working correctly, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The bracelet is integrated and therefore length is important, so this being a good size with an additional link is a real bonus. We have shown this on both a man’s and ladies wrist, as the size (like Cartier) sits somewhere between a larger ladies watch and a smaller men’s watch.
