HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in October 1993.
CONDITION
Many of us might change a watch before going to a different event. Some of us might wear the same watch, but switch the strap. But, unless you own a JLC Duoface Reverso like this one we had, how many can swap the dial colour or design? This Seiko you can. Just turn the bezel and line up the black diamond marker to the similar one at 12, and you go from gold with Roman numerals to dress watch black with no hour markers. This wizardry is likely down to two polarised discs, and it is certainly clever. The rest of the watch is more simple – a gold plated case, which despite the clever dial tech’ is still slim. It is fitted with a Seiko quartz movement, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case and movement.
