This iconic Tissot RockWatch design first came out in 1986. Made from Swiss mountains, each one is unique. Model R151.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the stamped original paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being sold in January 1992.
CONDITION
Tissot sold 1/2 million of these watches in the late 80s / early 90s, and they were the first to use granite from the Swiss alps to case a watch. This means each one is completely individual. The red and yellow hands were chosen to symbolise the signs on Swiss mountain passes.
This watch has hardly been worn. The Tissot leather band and buckle are still almost like new. The case doesn’t have any chips or cracks (with granite being a natural material this was always a risk). This particular example has nice metallic flecks in the granite. The anti reflective crystal doesn’t have any damage. This must be as nice an example as you will find.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, stamped guarantee and our Certificate of Authenticity.
