When Seiko sponsored the Barcelona Olympics, they launched several watches to celebrate it, including this one. Model reference 7T42-7A50
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in June 1992, which was just a month before the Olympics started.
CONDITION
There are good and bad parts to this example. The dial is great, but the bezel gold plating is worn. The movement is Seiko’s 7T42, which not only has quick set date, a chronograph but also has an alarm function too. Everything is working correctly, and we even show how to reset the chronograph hands after a battery change in the video. However the signed crown is slightly bent. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The watch is photographed on a 19mm new Geckota strap, and that is because the original bracelet that comes with the watch has quite a lot of wear to the gold plated parts, and we think it looks better on the leather strap. We will include the bracelet in the sale, and it has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
