A rare Le Cheminant GMT watch with separate timezone hand, you will struggle to find another one.  Model reference 7782W3

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the supplied paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being sold on Christmas Eve, 1992.

CONDITION

With GMT watches you often think of sports watches like the Rolex Explorer, but this is a scarce Le Cheminant GMT dress watch made even rarer by still having the suede pouch and sales paperwork with it.  Inside the gold plated case is an ETA 955.414, which has had the GMT modification to allow the pusher to advance the GMT hand (the one with the crescent hand) to advance in 24 increments.  This runs around the dial smoothly, not in 24 hour increments, so some of the photos may look like the hand is not aligned when actually it is (one photo at 9AM shows this).  This GMT complication is useful when making international phone calls, or of course when travelling.  Paired with this is a quick set date at 3, and we will fit a new battery before sending this watch out.  The strap is used but good, and this is ready to wear.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation pouch, sales papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
