Boodles are the premium jeweller in the north west of England, with a history going back to 1798.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the import hall mark in the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1992.
CONDITION
Boodles no longer offer their own watches for sale, but are authorised dealers for Patek Philippe instead. This watch would have been a lot cheaper than a Patek, but most things are! The case is made by Quinn, a renowned German firm of Silversmiths. It has cow horn lugs, a design feature used on several 1940’s and 1950’s watches that make it stand apart from the crowd. The case does have lots of small marks that could be machine polished out, but we do not do that as we prefer original patina (as do many of our customers). The original strap is also marked with the Quinns logo. The leather strap is worn and bit dirty, but we can swap this for a new OEM strap if preferred and retain the original silver (stamped 925) buckle. The quartz two handed movement is a four jewel calibre from Harley. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
