The TAG Heuer 1000 was a hugely popular model, and the full lume dial also made it stand out from all the other divers watches. Model reference 980.113N.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1990. We have also found the same model in the 1990 catalogue.
CONDITION
Despite being one of the cheaper 1990’s TAG Heuer models of the day, the prices of good 1000 models are now rising. Why? Well a lot of people who couldn’t afford one back in 1990 can now, and good ones are ending up in peoples collections and not hitting the market. And this is a good one – it has the original bracelet, complete with diver suit extension in the signed clasp. It has the correct screw down signed crown. It also has a very clean dial with good lume, and the unidirectional bezel turns crisply. We do have some service papers from 2002 from TAG Heuer, so maybe some parts were replaced like for like at service to keep it this good. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
