This men’s Longines Flagship was given as a long service award in 1991. Model reference 7122
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the inscription on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being given in 1991. We do have the warranty card dated August 1990 too, but the case number is not completed (it is from the same area of the country as the inscription though). Either year could be considered valid for a Birth Year Watch.
CONDITION
The Flagship range is still in the Longines offering, starting at £1,130.
This is a good example of a watch that was typical of its time. The integrated bracelet is a problem if it is short, but happily this is long enough for most wrists. The bracelet has also been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The dial is perfect white, with straight original hands. The case is very slim at under 5mm, and it houses a Longines branded ETA quartz movement. We will fit a new battery prior to sending this watch out. The paperwork is quite comprehensive with this watch.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
