This triple calendar Citizen men’s watch is absolutely typical of watches of the late 1980’s. Model reference 6350- G030321
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in January 1989.
CONDITION
Before quartz watches, if you wanted a triple calendar watch with moonphase you would need very deep pockets for both the initial purchase and the maintenance such a watch might need. Plus those complications added depth to the movement, making the case chunkier than desirable. And if you didn’t wear the watch that day, you would need to reset the calendar. Quartz movements are the ideal solution to having these complications but keeping it simple, slim and and low maintenance. Want to wear this in rotation? The triple date (date, day, month) and moonphase will all be in sync still, and if you do need to adjust the date for the end of the month it is on a quickset mechanism. The white dial is very clean, all functions work as they should and the watch has had a new glass, leather strap and battery so is ready to wear.
