HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number between the bottom two lugs we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1987.
CONDITION
This Ladies Rolex is the smallest automatic movement model Rolex ever made. Fitted with calibre 2130, the 29 jewel movement is really quite over engineered for a three handed watch. But one of the reasons Rolex are so sought after is their commitment to quality in all areas, not just the parts you see. The steel Oyster case, so named as it is designed to be waterproof, has the correct TwinLock screw down crown to help with that. The case does not appear to have been polished. The white dial, with Roman Numerals, is great and the tritium lume has faded nicely. This style of dial is sometimes referred to as a Buckley dial, after a well respected Rolex collector who often said this was his favourite design. The Jubilee bracelet, with 568 end links, has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, hangtag with matching serial number on it and our Certificate of Authenticity.
