HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in March 1986.
CONDITION
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is a process to apply a thin, hard coating to surfaces, most commonly metal. Like any coating or plating, they can show wear, but this watch is close to immaculate. There is a small area on the bottom left edge of the case that might have had some touch up, but it is very hard to see with the naked eye. The sticker is still on the case back, and it is tempting to say this is new old stock, but the bracelet has been resized in the past so it must have been sold at one point – it just has barely been worn. The movement is a simple quartz Seiko 5H23A and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. You also have quick set day and date, and the day wheel can be set to either English or German. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has not been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath – it simply didn’t need it.
