HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number printed on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1986. The Symbol range was first presented in October 1986 and launched in 1987. There were three Symbol models, with ancient and present cultures represented by the Egyptian Ankh Cross, the Sun and the Yin Yang symbol we have on this watch. Yin represents mankind’s Earthly side, and Yang is for man’s celestial side, and is a mark of universal harmony, perfect unity and balance.
CONDITION
The watch is close to perfect. The case back sticker is to remind you to get the battery changed in 1990, and this would have soon worn off or at least get smudged if the watch had been worn. The bezel is 18k gold, and the case stainless steel. There is a slight scratch on the bezel near the crown if we are being very picky. The strap is the Omega leather original, and is fitted with a perfect gold plated Omega buckle. The movement is Omega’s 1455 quartz, and we have fitted a new battery. This is effectively buying a new Omega at a quarter of the price of the cheapest watch in an authorised dealer.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
