HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in February 1984.
CONDITION
The 7A series started in 1982 with the 7A28, the first analogue quartz chronograph than could record tenths of a second. Then this movement (7A38) added a day date calendar to the watch. Then the 7A48 added a moonphase but lost the day of the week. So you could argue this is the highest specification, but all models have their fan bases so it doesn’t really matter. There are not too many watches where you can time event down to a tenth of a second, whilst checking the phase of the moon! We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The dial is very clean, although the moonphase is faded slightly. The 20 micron gold plated case shows no significant wear. The strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred – but we tried to match as close as we could to the strap shown in the original Seiko 1984 catalogue. The watch is signed on the dial, case and movement.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
