This men’s Seiko would have been the height of fashion for this period in time.  Model reference 9020-5330

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in January 1984.

Bi metal, thin, quartz, square cased watches were the thing to have in 1984, and that is exactly what we have here.  This would have been quite an expensive watch, as Seiko resisted using the cheapest materials throughout, so you have a stainless steel case with gold plate links and bezel.  The bracelet is a clever design, where the gold plate links sit a bit further in than the stainless steel parts.  This means that the gold plate shows less wear than most designs, as it touches the surfaces less.  The movement is Seiko’s own 9020A, a five jewel mainly metal movement that has just had a new battery.  The case back still has the original protective sticker in place!  The glass is largely free from scratches, but there are nibbles to the edges that look worse on the magnified photos than in real life.  The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
