HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this to 1984 because the 1000 dial only featured on the very last Heuer models before Tag Heuer was formed in 1985
CONDITION
Bo Derek famously posed for photographs wearing just her Heuer 1000, as documented in Jack Heuer’s biography that can be downloaded for free here. It wasn’t this actual watch, but any excuse to show that photo! The bezel insert is worn, but the glass has just been replaced. The rest of the watch is good – the evenly aged dial glows well, it has the original signed crown and large bracelet with the original clasp. The divers extension on the bracelet doesn’t clip in like we have seen with similar watches, but we are not positive that this is a fault or whether it was designed like this. The dial has a small amount of damage near 4 that is shown in the photos. The size of this will suit ladies or a smaller man.
This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity, and a new battery will be fitted prior to the watch being sent out.
