A nice men’s Omega de Ville, that has all the hallmark’s of the period styling.  An in house movement and a case just 5.0mm thick.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the calibre 1417 movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1983.

CONDITION

The super slim, 7 jewel movement is all working well, and unlike some Omega watches of the period this one has a conventional crown to set the time with rather than a push button.  The crown is signed with the Omega logo.  Inside the case back is the model number, 191.0191, and also the mark to show the case is 20 micron gold plated.  The plate does have some wear, but this is very difficult to see with the naked eye.  The dial is very clean, and the glass is unscratched and without any chips to the edge.  The only real wear in where the case back has been polished, and the edge nearest the crown isn’t straight.  This can not be seen when the watch is on the wrist.  The leather strap has a gold tone buckle, but neither item are from Omega.  Wearing this watch feels so light compared with modern, much larger watches.  While this was designed to be worn by men, many women will like the size of this too.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
