This 37mm Seiko divers watch doesn’t look too different to the ones made today. If it ain’t broke…. Model reference 6548-6000
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in January 1982. This model can also be found in the 1982 Seiko Japan catalogue, as we believe these were only intended for the Japanese domestic market (called JDM).
CONDITION
This Seiko divers watch can trace its heritage back to the 1965 62MAS, the first Seiko divers watch, and they have never stopped making great value divers watches. This watch has the quartz movement inside, as befits a 1982 watch as mechanical watches were not as popular then. It has quick set day and date, with the day in English and Kanji, and that is accessed via the screw down crown. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The dial is original and still has good lume for a 40+ year old watch. All three hands are original too. The glass has a couple of small marks, as does the bi directional bezel. The Seiko rubber strap is new. These watches were once common, but now are harder to find and prices have been rising.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
