A classic 1982, two hand, slim De Ville from Omega. Meets all the design criteria for a dress watch. Model reference 191.0030.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1982.
CONDITION
Two hands, no complications (such as date), slim, discreet and a leather strap are what a dress watch should be. The higher the quality the better of course, but this De Ville is more affordable because the case is gold plated rather than solid gold (we do have plenty of solid 18k gold watches if you prefer). This De Ville model has Omega’s calibre 1365, which was so accurate that you don’t even have a crown – you have a pusher to set the time, as it would not need doing often enough to warrant a crown. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The 20 micron gold case is overall good, with some wear to the tips of the lugs. The dial is good, with a small amount of staining in the bottom left quarter. The glass has no scratches or chips. The crocodile leather strap is new, but if the watch is bought by someone outside of the UK we will need to send it on a calf leather strap to comply with CITES regulations. The watch is signed on the dial, case and movement.
