CONDITION
The King Seiko was historically the in house rival to Grand Seiko watches, each based in different factories and trying to outdo each other. But by this time the King Quartz name was applied to watches it was a bit down from the Seiko Grand Quartz in both price and specification. But that doesn’t stop this being an expensive and desirable watch in the day. The movement was accurate to +/-20 seconds a year, which is still very good today. This was achieved by having one quartz crystal controlling the regulation, and the second as a thermocompensator. The day and date can be quickset, and the day wheel is in English and Kanji. The textured dial is nice, with just one spot of dirt near 4. Both the case and the glass are very good. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred. We have tried to match it to the one in the catalogue, so think it does suit the watch, but it is your choice.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
