HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in November 1981.
CONDITION
While a lot of men find the watches of the 1980’s too small and dainty for modern fashions, watches like this divers style Pulsar provide the answer. It is unusual to find one in this good condition though, and as Seiko divers watches of this period keep gaining value the Pulsar models are following. The bezel is tight and is a friction fit – it will turn both ways but without any click. The dial and hands are excellent, and the day and date calendar wheels are black with white writing to match the dial. Both day and date can be quick set, and the day can be in English or Spanish. The bracelet is excellent and long. The case has a small dink near 2, but the rest of the watch is so good we had to double check this wasn’t a decade newer – it isn’t, the large P logo was stopped mid eighties and this watch has that logo on the dial and original bracelet clasp. You can see some light scratches on the glass near 1 in some lights, but they are very fine. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
