A sweet little watch, this Bulova ladies watch has roman numerals on the dial.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this to 1980 from the serial number on the watch case back, although the same case back has an inscription from 1981. So the watch was made in 1980 and presented to someone in 1981. Either date is valid to count as a birth year watch.
CONDITION
Very difficult to fault. It is like new as the photos show. Just had a new battery and genuine lizard strap. Although the dial says Accutron, this contains a conventional quartz movement and not the electronic ‘hummer’ watches that Bulova found such success with. The case is in 10k rolled gold, which is much thicker than gold plate and this helps explain the condition of the watch.
