Like the divers style, but are they too uncomfortable for you?  Then this Silverwave could be the answer!  Model reference 6030-6000.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in November 1980.

CONDITION

Very few divers watches are under 8mm thick, but the Silverwave is.  There are some compromises to be made – this is a desk diver, so is only marked water resistant rather than to 200M.  The bezel doesn’t have any click, so can turn in both directions.  The only true divers watch technical feature it has is a screw down crown.  The dial is good and the anchor set into the 12 o’clock hour marker is novel.  Inside is a simple Seiko set and forget quartz movement, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.  We have also replaced the seal on the case back, which is not showing in the photographs.  The strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
