We can not be sure why Seiko chose to make this model 7830-5220 watch from 0.925 Silver, and then gold plate it.  But they did.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in March 1980.

CONDITION

The styling of this watch is certainly typical of the period.  The integrated bracelet is stamped for 0.925 silver, and the case back is stainless steel.  The photos do show that this bracelet can show the dirt, and we have cleaned this in our ultrasonic bath and improve the edges with a quick polish since the photos have been taken.  The quartz movement is running perfectly and has had a new battery fitted.  The dial is very clean.  The bracelet has no kinks, but please do measure your wrist to ensure the bracelet is long enough for you.  These bracelets can be made shorter, but you will not be able to extend the bracelet easily.  Total weight is 49.2 grams.

This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
