A 1980 solid 9k gold presentation award Rotary watch for long service, complete with box and papers. Manual wind movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From both the inscription on the case back and the supplied paperwork that matches, we can accurately date this watch to being sold in 1980.
CONDITION
The watch has been carefully worn, hopefully by Mr Sawyer after 25 years of working for A.E Turbines. The case has slight damage on the non crown side from the case being opened, and the dial has some dirt and small scratches, but it is still perfectly presentable. The manual wind movement is keeping good time, and the date is changing correctly. We will fit a new strap on this before it is sent out, so please specify if you would prefer brown or black leather. The crown is gold plated and just slightly worn – this is not unusual, as gold is quite a soft metal and not ideal for mechanical parts.
