HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being in 1980.

CONDITION

In 1980 Omega were investing a lot into making high end quartz movements, and this is a fine example of just such a watch.  The in house calibre 1336 movement shows people who ‘don’t like quartz’ that they can be just as high quality as mechanical movements.  This thirteen jewel, all metal movement even has Côtes de Genève striped decoration to the bridges.  It is all working correctly, and we will fit a new battery before sending the watch out.  The time is so accurate that Omega didn’t let you adjust it via the crown – the crown only adjusts the hour hand, whereas the minute hand is advanced via the pusher at 2.  This is shown in the video.  The dial is very clean and there is a small scratch on the glass near ten.  The crown is signed with the Omega logo and can be used to advance the hour hand only – ideal for most people changing time zones.  The strap and buckle are the original ones.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
