This quartz Omega De Ville made a good choice in 1980, and is still a good choice today.  Model reference 191.0102

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1980.

CONDITION

The slim, square case would have been very fashionable for 1980 and remains elegant today.  Unlike a lot of 1980 watches, this is stainless steel rather than gold plated and that has the benefit of remaining looking good forever.  It is also very slender, and at 5mm thick actually qualifies as an ultra thin watch.  Inside is a nine jewel, calibre 1365 quartz movement that was deemed so accurate that a crown to adjust the time wasn’t required.  As you would adjust the time so infrequently, you use a pusher or cocktail stick to adjust the time.  This way you never have the crown pushing into your wrist.  The dial is original and not refinished.  We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.    The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
