Fitted with the all metal calibre 1332, this 1979 Omega De Ville added slenderness to previously bulky quartz watches. Model reference 192.0044.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1979. 1979 was also the first year of production of this movement.
CONDITION
The styling and technology for this watch was ahead of its time. By 1984, the fashion was for slim, rectangular quartz watches but in 1979 Omega changed the game with calibre 1332, allowing this model to set the trends rather than follow them. The 17 jewel movement has centre seconds, an independent hour hand to allow quick time zone changes (and to quick set the calendar), and you have the ability to adjust the minutes and seconds via the pusher at two. That button was not used much, such is the accuracy of the movement, but this one is still working perfectly. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The case has a few small marks, but the glass is scratch and chip free. The dial looks to have a slight stain on certain angles, but not in others. The strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
