CONDITION
Seiko were at the cutting edge of everything in the 1970’s. They were the first to launch a quartz regulated watch on 26th December 1969, and then pioneered high precision quartz movements, making even their Grand Seiko mechanical watches redundant in the process. And in 1973 they launched the world’s first six digit LCD watch, followed in 1975 by the world’s first multifunction LCD watch. Then in 1978 the A158 module was launched, which would be a chronograph, full calendar, alarm and had a light too. The instruction book for this movement can be found online here, and all functions have been tested and are working – even the light. The glass has only light scratches. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner and set the watch up to their timezone.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
