HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Two ways, hence two dates. From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1978. But the long service inscription on the case back is for 1982. Either year can be considered a valid birth year watch.
CONDITION
The watch is in superb condition, and barely looks worn. The Hirsch Lizard strap is new, but the gold plated buckle is the original. The movement is very clean, but unfortunately we didn’t get photos when the watch was inspected. That includes the hallmark, but we will get the photos taken sometime soon. The watch is signed on the dial, caseback, buckle, crown and movement. The movement has a quick set date feature.
