A discreet Omega de Ville dress watch, which was allowed to be slimmer than average due to the in house movement. Model reference 191.0045.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1977. This model was launched in 1977, and you can see the solid gold version on Omega’s website here.
CONDITION
This watch is fitted with Omega’s calibre 1330, an in house quartz movement with 17 jewels and a button within the crown to set the minute hand – Omega were so confident you wouldn’t need to adjust the watch very often that they made it hard to do accidentally. They do have one weakness, and that is that the battery strap had become weak, but we have just fitted a brand new Omega genuine part to this watch to stop that being an issue. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner, and the battery has the correct insulator to allow modern batteries to fit. The case is overall good, with a few marks on the non crown side being the worst damage. The dial, hands and glass are all very good. The striped strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred. It has an Omega buckle fitted.
