This Ingersoll pocket watch was a throwback in 1977 when it was sold new. Fabulous condition.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being sold in November 1977.
CONDITION
We rarely buy pocket watches, but when presented with this it was very difficult to say no. This was never the highest quality watch when new, but as this is in ‘as new’ condition it is probably the nicest one you will find. You wind via the crown at 12, and this has a push set lever to adjust the hands – literally you push and twist the crown to move the blue hands. Even the bow, to which you would normally attach a chain, is nice and tight. There is a mark on the dial between three and five, which is noticeable once you see it. Inside is the pin pallet 76 movement, as used in Smiths and Triumph pocket watches too. This will keep time to within a couple of minutes a day, but do this in a very stylish way.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
