Made in 1977, sold in 1982, this Omega Constellation Chronometer has the original box and papers and is on the beads of rice bracelet.  Model number 196.0111

From the serial number on the cal. 1346 chronometer rated movement we can accurately date this watch to being produced in 1977.  The watch was sold in 1982, as dated by the paperwork and the case back engraving, so either year could be considered for a birth year watch.

The watch isn’t perfect, as it has been worn, but it is nice to see the box and papers complete together with a watch in good used condition.  The movement is working perfectly, including the push button in the crown to adjust the minutes, and has the original instructions.  The gold plated case shows some marks, and the coin rim bezel has a couple of small dinks.  The beads of rice bracelet doesn’t show much wear to the plating, but the end lugs are bent and the clasp is very weak – we are trying to find a replacement clasp but if we can’t then this watch will be supplied on a brown leather strap and the bracelet included in the box.  The video shows the watch on a brown leather strap.  The watch has a presentation engraving on the rear which matches the paperwork guarantee.
