With an unusual olive green dial, this automatic Seiko is quite a stylish piece. Model reference 6118-8020.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in March 1975.
CONDITION
Seiko vintage watches are great to collect, as there are plenty of them, they were put together well using decent materials, and there is a huge variety of them to find. The one thing they are not is rare, but this is the first time we have seen an olive green dial like this 6118-8020 has. The dial itself is in very nice condition. The movement is the in house Seiko 6118A, which is automatic only with quick set date. As this movement can not be hand wound it does suit someone more active. The movement as dial are housed in a stainless steel case, which does have some marks and a pretty big ding to the non crown side as pointed out in the video. The bracelet is a little short but original, but this might suit a leather strap instead if that was your preference. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
