This is one of the rarer manual wind Omega Geneve models, and is the first we have ever seen in this case design. Model reference 111.0116
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1975.
CONDITION
Thanks to the case design this watch wears large on the wrist, so ignore the dimensions and look at the wrist shot to get a better idea. That is enhanced by the 24mm wide at the lugs strap, which is almost unheard of on vintage watches. We have fitted a new Condor leather strap which has a matte black finish to compliment the matte black dial. This dial is in good condition and sits behind a signed acrylic crystal. The two white hands provide strong contrast on the dial making everything easy to read. Inside the stainless case is a manually wound Omega calibre 625, 17 jewel movement that is working as it should. The crown looks to have been replaced at some point, but the new crown is perfectly functional. The solid case back also has a slight dent, but it is still clear of the movement so doesn’t adversely affect anything. We have had dozens of Omega Geneve watches, but never have we even seen this reference 111.0116 variation before except on page 481 in the Omega : A Journey through Time book.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
