Seiko introduced the DX range with extra features over the standard 5 model.  This included applid dial markers, hacking seconds, and colourful dials amongst other things.  This DX 6106-7619 has them all.

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in August 1974.

The watch impresses in several areas.  The dial is very clean, and the tobacco coloured (sometimes call tigers eye) pattern always catching your eye.  The 37mm case is solid stainless steel, and has a recessed crown at 4.  Like a lot of Seiko models this is automatic wind only, so the crown is used only to set the time and using the quick set date (one deep push changes the day and date, a shallow push adjusts the date only).  If you pull the crown out the movement hacks (i.e. stops) to allow precise time setting.  The clasp is a later Seiko item, and we can not be certain if the Seiko bracelet is later also or original – the number is B366 if anyone knows?  But the bracelet is clean and long.  The Seiko 6106C 17 jewel movement is clean and running nicely.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
