HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in February 1974.
CONDITION
The watch design is very successful – the deep blue dial, which is very clean, shimmers in the light very nicely. The white hands and hour marks make this very legible and easy to read, and just for added detail the minute track and the 6, 9 and 12 markers have a line of red. The hands and dial do have some lume, but it is likely to be very dull after these passing years. The case doesn’t have any dings, but there is a scratch near the bottom right lug. The movement works well, but this movement was only designed to be automatically wound, so it can not be wound via the crown. The recessed crown isn’t quite square, which could mean the stem is bent slightly, but it is fully functioning including the quick set date complication.
