From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in May 1974.
CONDITION
The video on this watch should best show both the condition and the watch the case and faceted crystal reflect the light. Seiko made some of the best coloured dials available in the 1970’s, especially in the DX (deluxe) models, and this is no different. The olive green dial is very clean indeed, and has applied markers and badges. Each marker, as well as the hands, has a nice clean line of lume in them, although the marker at 7 is a little misaligned. The day date at 6 is a quirky touch, although non of the styling in this model could be described as mainstream. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, and looking at comparable watches appears to be the original style. It is signed on the clasp. The 23 jewel 6106C (The 6106 reference in the 6106-5470 model number) is clean and running well. This is an automatic only wind watch like so many Seikos are, and has quick set day and date as well as hacking seconds. The day wheel is in English and Kanji. The acrylic crystal is good, with just a view minor scratches. This wears larger than the dimension suggest, like all square watches.
