Wonderful original condition, this Marvin still has the original buckle and crown,  Great to find with the box too.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the London hallmark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1974.

CONDITION

The watch has probably not been worn much.  Not only is the buckle original, it could be that the strap is too – it has a period feel to it.  Marvin have a great history, and this is from their  Manufactures d’Horlogeries Suisses Réunies (MSR) period.  Other brands in this group included Revue Thommen, which is why you sometimes see Marvin Revue watches, as they shared components.  There is an excellent write up on the brand history here.  This watch is powered by the 525 Calibre, with 17 jewels and running at 18,000 bph, and this one is running superbly – within modern COSC specification on our timegrapher.  The case was made in England by D. Shackman and Son (DS&S) for Marvin, and DS&S also made cases for Rolex, Omega and others so we are in good company.  The off white dial has a fine lined texture to it, and overall it is difficult to think how you would find a better example of this watch.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
