This Citizen tank is a model we have never seen before, but could not resist.  Model reference 66-1279.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in August 1974.

CONDITION

This Citizen tank cased watch (tank is a generic term used to describe a plan view of the watch, as they were designed around the same time as tanks were used in WW1) has a lot going for it.  Design is obvious, with a very interesting copper coloured dial bouncing the light in different shades.  This really is a watch to view the video on to see that effect in the full.  The other major thing going for this watch is condition – it is extremely good, with the little oval sticker still on the case back being an indicator of the very light use this has had.  The manual wind movement is working well.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
