Blue dialed Seiko’s from the 1970’s are always popular.  Stainless steel cases of a good size always help.  This model, number 7005-7072, has it all going for it.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in February 1973.

CONDITION

The 7005A movement is well liked by collectors.  Although not rare, they are robust and have a better date mechanism than the earlier 7001A.  Auto winding only with quick set date (adjusted by pulling the crown out one position and turning), it is working well and keeping reasonable time.  The case is unpolished so does show some scratches, but no dinks or heavy damage.  The bracelet is original and has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, and although it is missing one link it is still a decent length.  Many Japanese vintage watches that still have their bracelets are too small for modern wrists.  The unrestored dial is very clean, and the applied hour markers are clean and still have their lume plots present.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
